Product Description
Application：
Aircraft skin damping or Sonic Fatigue suppression of thin plates
Product Features：
1）Modular product, consistent size;
2）Self-adhesive character for convenient pasting;
Product configuration：
Product functions：
1）Constrained damping patch: When the aircraft skin vibrates, the shear effect formed between the skin and the aluminum foil on the damping patch dissipates energy;
2）Noise & Vibration Control: In flight, the aircraft skin vibration caused by TBL is suppressed by this damping patch, for reducing cabin noise;
3）Sonic Fatigue Control: Based on the damping effect, the damping patch can be used to improve sonic fatigue performance of aircraft skin;
4）Flame retardancy and fire protection: This product satisfy the flame retardancy and fire prevention requirements;
5）Customization: dimensions, flame retardancy, damping.
Product Damping performance：
Based on ASTM-E756.12985/GB/T18258 standard, the product damping performance is obtained;
1）The test sample which is produced by damping patch is the basis for study;
2）Two test samples are produced by SMAC Sonic material and BOACH-ADP001 material;
Based on the test results, BOACH-ADP001 damping performance is better than SMAC Sonic;
3）Evaluation basis: vibration transfer function;
4）The final evaluation effect depending on aircraft test results.
Flame retardant/fire protection characteristics：
1）Through experimental testing, the composite structure of aluminum alloy + damping layer meets the requirements of fire protection;
2）The simple damping layer currently does not meet the requirements of fire prevention and flame retardancy performance, and if it is necessary to meet the flame retardant requirements, BOACH can provide customization service.
